Windows sharepoint services search starting

Thank you for all you help. You posts were useful and I do have a much better understanding of SharePoint now from reading up on all the links you suggested. The farm topology is a single server deployment. I didn't configure Windows SharePoint Search with two accounts.

During the installation of Sharepoint I just used all the default settings so I'm not really sure which accounts are being used for SharePoint Services Help and DB read contents.

I'm not sure if that helps but if I try and start the Search I receive an error message stating that the file can not be created when that file name already exists.
